Novel "Now Vapor" Vaporizer: Marijuana Product Review

If you are using a vaporizer that has a self-regulating temperature control, which almost all vaporizers have today, then you have the ability to control the exact temperature to be used to heat your cannabis, and therefore you can control which cannabinoids and terpenoids are released into your vapor mist. Since all of those delightful cannabinoids and terpenoids have different vaping (boiling) points, making sure that that you have the right temp makes a huge difference because if you vaporize the same cannabis batch at two different temperatures you will have two very diverse experiences.

Let me define what cannabinoids are and terpenoids are all about:

A large group of structurally related phenolic compounds found in the plant Cannabis sativa. The main one is tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the compound responsible for the effects of cannabis. It affects cannabinoid receptors found in the brain (and also in the spleen). The name ‘cannabinoid’ is also applied to structurally unrelated compounds found naturally in animal tissue and having an effect on the cannabinoid receptors. These endocannabinoids (endogenous cannabinoids) are believed to act as ‘messengers’ between cells.

The terpenoids sometimes called isoprenoids are a large and diverse class of naturally occurring organic chemicals similar to terpenes, derived from five-carbon isoprene units assembled and modified in thousands of ways. Plant terpenoids are used extensively for their aromatic qualities. They play a role in traditional herbal remedies and are under investigation for antibacterial, antineoplastic, and other pharmaceutical functions. Well-known terpenoids include citral, menthol, camphor, salvinorin A in the plant Salvia divinorum, and the cannabinoids found in Cannabis.

The lower the temperature you use to vaporize, the fewer of the components of the cannabis will have reached their ignition (boiling) levels, which means they won’t contribute to your high or be contaminated by the unpleasant by-products that come with higher temperatures and with combustion. So you definitely would like to check your vape temp to get the level of components you want from you ganja when vaporizing it.

For sativas and sativa-dominant hybrids, THC characteristically gets completely released when a lower vaporizer temperature is used. The sativas create a more mental and energetic high and less of a body high. The vapor omitted is often more inconspicuous with less of a scent and lower vapor plume and more of an opaque odorless steam. There may be some CBD (Cannabidiol) released, but only a portion of the other cannabinoids and terpenoids that require higher vaporizing temperatures for release. The terpenoids are what give cannabis the magnificent flavor and aromas.
